World History - World history students had a work day to finish up a short project on Alexander the Great. They are creating resumes for Alexander, highlighting important pieces of information about his life. Students were also told to scan through chapter four to supplement the notes they had taken. While students were working on either of these two things, I conferenced with individuals about their grades and where they stand in the class. The resumes will be due on Monday. Also on Monday (or Tuesday for 7th period), students should expect a quiz over chapter four that will cover the big ideas.
Government - In government today, students were evaluating their own knowledge of the political party they currently side with. The class was split into two sides (Republican and Democrat) and asked to summarize the core beliefs of the party as they see it. Then, students will research their selected party's current platform and summarize comparing it with what they had previously spoken on as the party's core beliefs. For homework this weekend, students should begin the next chapter, reading pages 512-529. Students here should also be prepared for a quiz over the Lanahan readings from this past week.
