World History - Today in world history, students were given about 15 minutes to peer edit essays that they will now turn in tomorrow. Students will need to edit and proofread their work and bring a finalized copy tomorrow. Then we finished chapter four section three, which is about conflict for the Greeks. We have covered the Persian and Peloponnesian Wars in this section.
Government - In government today, we will begin a new unit on political parties, interest groups, and the media. We will start in chapter eleven today, which is about political parties. Students will be given a survey first, to examine where they stand politically. And then we will make our way through some information about parties, and how they operate. For homework, students should read page 484-492 in the textbook, and the entry beginning on page 516 in Lanahan.
In other news...
-Good luck to student athletes competing this evening. We have football, boys' tennis, and boys' and girls' soccer in action tonight. Go Trojans!
-Looking forward to our school shadow days, the first of which is tomorrow. Hopefully our visitors enjoy themselves!
