World History - In world history, students have been presenting their information about the religion that they researched. This will probably run through class tomorrow as well. When all groups have presented, students will take a short quiz over the origins and fundamental beliefs of those religions. Reminder to students that they do have a current events article that is due tomorrow.
Government - In government, we talked about some current events to start class. Then, we went back into chapter ten on elections. Today's focus was on the process of elections including majority, plurality and proportional votes. We also talked about the electoral college and redistricting/gerrymandering. Students saw a brief video explaining the electoral college, and were shown some examples of gerrymandered districts. For homework, students are to read from page 421 to 437 in the textbook, and complete a short gerrymandering simulation.
