Tuesday, January 15

World History - Today in class, we finished chapter fifteen by completing notes that covered section five about global contact and its effects.  Topics covered were the Columbian Exchange, the Commercial Revolution of the 1500's and Mercantilism.  Students then were given time to work on/complete a packet of materials covering chapter fifteen.  This packet will be due tomorrow for 2nd and 3rd period classes, and on Thursday for 7th.  Also, reminder that at the end of this week, students do need to have a current events article.

Economics - 6th period economics caught up with 5th period economics today.  We finished chapter two, which is still discussing some introductory microeconomic ideas that they will need to be successful in macroeconomics.  Topics today included a review of opportunity cost, and a run through on the importance of specialization, comparative advantage, and private property rights.  Homework for students tonight is to read chapter two, and answer questions #1-16 on page 35-36.
