Apologies for the lack of updates lately. I have obviously fallen behind as the end of the year approaches. Wanted update though, especially with all of the end of the year things that we have to take care of. Students in all classes are winding down and preparing for final exams. Here are the things they need to be concerned with:
World History - We are moving through chapter 29, which is about World War II. We are about half way through that chapter currently. We will continue moving through discussing how the Allies take control of the war, the Holocaust and the concentration camps, the use of the atomic bombs, the end of the wars, and the beginnings of the Cold War. Students will have a final exam beginning the week of May 20. It will be cumulative dating back to the beginning of this semester. Students know that it will be all multiple choice. Other issues that students need to take care of include turning in any missing work by May 15. Students should know also that they are turning in their iPad at the end of the year. If they have things that they want to save, they need to back that up somehow prior to turning the iPad in.
AP Econ - Seniors are very near the end of the year as graduation is fast approaching. In Econ, we have finished the text, and have moved on to using the time to review in whatever fashion students need. They have several resources to help prepare them for the AP exams. For those taking the AP Macro exam, it is scheduled for Thursday, May 16. For those taking the AP Government exam, it is scheduled for Tuesday, May 14. As for the class final, 5th period will take theirs on Monday, May 13, and 6th period will take theirs on Wednesday, May 15. Also, seniors are also turning in their iPads when they are finished with them. They need to be returned to our Trojan Tech Counter which is down in the cafeteria. Students have elected to keep theirs will have it returned after graduation.
