World History I - Welcome back from Thanksgiving break! In all four world history classes, we finished presentations of their projects. We will be moving into chapter fourteen starting tomorrow which deals with exploration and individuals like Christopher Columbus.
Government - We watched CNN Student News to kick off class. Then we began chapter eleven by introducing the court system. Students heard about jurisdiction and the difference between the Federal and State court systems. We also summarized Marbury v. Madison, which gives the Supreme Court the power of Judicial Review. Finally, students were given a handout for section two of chapter eleven that was homework if they did not finish in the last few minutes of class.
