Tuesday, October 25

World History I - Homework was collected first.  Then we watched CNN Student News.  The majority of the class was spent talking about the role of the church during the Middle Ages.  Students learned about the power of the church during this time, how that power grew, punishments for going against the church, and then attempted reforms.  We also briefly mentioned some economic improvements.

Government - We spent third period in the library.  Students were researching committees and their specific role within Congress.  Each student was to look up information on 5 different standing committees in the House and the Senate.  They needed to give a brief description of the purpose of that committee, as well as listing a piece of legislation they have recently reviewed.  That work, if not finished, was homework, and is due tomorrow.

In other news:

-Big home volleyball game tonight as the girls will take on Park Tudor in the regionals.  Game starts at 7:00.   Hope to see a big crowd in blue this evening.  Go Patriots!
